The notebook you open in OneNote for the web is the same as the notebook you open in the OneNote desktop app, but some features work differently in the two environments. For instance, with OneNote for the web, you can view and restore previous page versions, including who wrote it and when. Using the View tab in the Ribbon menu, select Page Versions, then you can restore or delete a version or copy previous content to the main/current page.
