Reserve Hoteling Space at 120 Maple

Hoteling spaces (except workstations) must be reserved in advance. The procedure listed here, using Outlook on the web, is the simplest.

This article applies to: CIT Intranet

  1. Open Outlook on the web.
  2. In the Calendar, create a new event: click New event in the toolbar or double-click on the desired date and time on your calendar.
  3. Set the date and time. Add a title to the event.
  4. Click Search for a room or location. You'll be shown a list of suggested locations.
  5. If the space you want is listed and available, click it. Skip to step 10.
  6. If the space you want is not listed, click Browse with Room Finder at the bottom of the list of Suggested locations. The Room Finder panel will open.
  7. Set Building to CIT Maple 120. It may already be set. If you've booked a space before, CIT Maple 120 may be listed under Recent buildings when you click in the Building field. If CIT Maple 120 is not listed, type CIT in the Building field, then select CIT Maple 120 from the results displayed.
  8. Optional: Narrow the results displayed by selecting Features (private office, small conference room, etc.).
  9. Select the desired space. Be sure it is listed as Available.
  10. Click Send. The reservation will appear on your calendar and will appear as "unavailable" for others trying to reserve a space.

If you want people to be able to schedule a meeting on your calendar while you're using hoteling space, right-click the meeting on your calendar, select Show as, then select Free.

For example, you plan to work in the hoteling office you are booking but want other people to be able to schedule you for some or all of that time. If you leave your time as “busy,” no one else will be able to invite you to a meeting during that time.
