Student Technology Assistant Program (STAP)

The Student Technology Assistant Program (STAP) is a service available to faculty and academic staff for technical assistance with academic technology in support of courses. 

There is no charge for the services provided by STAP.

Services include:

  • Blackboard support
  • Assistance with preparing multimedia course content for classroom or web-based delivery
  • Assistance with classroom presentations (including PowerPoint presentations)
  • Audio and video services
  • Podcasting support
  • Updating course web sites
  • Assistance with online surveys
  • Assistance with collaborative tools including blogs and wikis
  • Scanning and digitizing.

We also have full time staff consultants who can provide assistance, training, and support in the use of computer technologies for instruction. Our consultants are available to assist you in preparing or editing your course materials.

Hours and Locations

STAP is located in the Academic Technology Centers:

  • 124 CCC (on the Ag Quad): open 9 - 5 Monday - Friday. Closed on university holidays.
  • G27 Stimson: open 1-5 Monday - Friday during the semester. Closed on university holidays.
