How to Resolve Connection Issues: Macintosh OS X
On the Dock, click the System Preferences icon, or from the Apple menu, select System Preferences.
The System Preferences window appears. Click Network to display the network preferences.
- In Mac OSX v.10.5 and later, click Ethernet on the left.
In older versions of Mac OSX, from the Show drop‑down list, select Built-in Ethernet and then click the TCP/IP tab.
(If the network preferences are grey and inactive, click the lock icon in the bottom left corner to activate them.)
- From the Configure IPv4 or Configure drop-down list, select Using DHCP.
- Close the Network preferences window and, when prompted, click Save.
- From the System Preferences menu, select Quit System Preferences.
- Open an Internet browser (such as Mozilla Firefox or Safari).
- Go to the Cornell Network registration page. (This page may load automatically.)
- Complete the online registration.
