Depending on how you access your email and calendar now, you may need to take a few steps before your account is moved to Office 365. You will be notified by email 3 weeks before your account is scheduled to move, and you will also receive a few reminders.
These steps can be done at any time before your account is moved. Your account will still work with Cornell's current email and calendar system after you take these steps.
- Outlook 2010 (Windows) -- REVISED PROCEDURES (added February 5, 2013)
ALL Outlook 2010 users need to follow these steps BEFORE their account is migrated.
Those who use Outlook 2010 to access Resource Accounts (EGAs, Room Accounts, Equipment Accounts) have an additional procedure to complete.
- Outlook 2011 for Mac
- Apple Mail on Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) or 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
- Apple Mail on Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) -- only if you work with Resource Accounts (Exchange Group Accounts or room/equipment accounts); if you use Mail only for your NetID account, you don't need to do anything
NOTE: If you do not complete these steps before migration, you will receive an error messages (or things simply won't work right) after migration, and you'll need to complete these steps then. So we recommend you just go ahead and do them today.
