These instructions explain how to access your Cornell Exchange email and calendar with a smart phone that isn't one of these types:
iPhone, iPad, Windows Mobile, Palm Treo, or Palm Centro (click the links on the left for those phones).
First, determine if your smart phone comes with the connection capability called ActiveSync.
If your mobile device has ActiveSync, you can set it up to access your email and calendar.
Find the four configuration settings listed below (the exact terminology may vary on your device) and enter the values listed.
The "Reply-to" address on messages you send will be set to whatever you chose as your primary email address in WhoIAm.
Note: Most ActiveSync-capable devices will configure themselves automatically after entering in the information described above. If your device needs a "server" or "mail server" name, use pod51009.outlook.com
If your mobile device doesn't have ActiveSync, you can set it up to access your email using IMAP. However, you won't be able to access your calendar. You need ActiveSync to see your calendar.
Find the five configuration settings listed below (the exact terminology may vary on your device) and enter the values listed.
If you have an email alias (an address like phil.schmertz@cornell.edu), you can enter that instead. Whatever you enter in this field is what people will see as the "From" field when they get a message sent from your mobile device.
