Blackboard is a web-based course management system that makes it easy for instructors to manage materials distribution, assignments, communications, and other aspects of instruction for their courses. This service is available at no cost and is supported for use by all faculty and instructors at Cornell University and extension units.
The site bbhelp.cit.cornell.edu contains extensive information for faculty, including news, how-tos, tips, answers to frequently asked questions, and a list of known issues.
Cornell's Blackboard is located at http://blackboard.cornell.edu. For Blackboard support, please email atc_support@cornell.edu.
Managed Enrollment, introduced in Fall 2012, will populate your course roster and keep it updated automatically! This means changes in the way that you'll request your Blackboard course site. Find out more: Things for Instructors to Know about Blackboard Managed Enrollment.
Blackboard, Polling, and Turnitin Trainings have been scheduled for January! Register here, or email us at atc_support@cornell.edu to schedule a consult.
Information is available on GuestIDs (for people without a Cornell NetID). This video will show you how to log in to Blackboard with a Cornell GuestID.
Users of Blackboard must abide by the use guidelines and policies of other Course Technologies. Please see "Guidelines for Use".
